Overview
Holika Holika is one of the most widely recognized Korean skincare and cosmetics brands in Indonesia. Founded in 2010 under ENPRANI Co. Ltd., a company with Samsung and CJ Group roots, the brand entered the Indonesian market in 2013 and has since built a presence of over 20 stores across major cities in the country. Its visual identity has always leaned playful and distinctive: eye-catching packaging, affordable price points, and a brand positioning built around the idea that everyone carries their own hidden beauty, a concept the brand calls "Magic Inside."
The Indonesian market is one of K-beauty's most important export destinations. Indonesian consumers have a genuine affinity for Korean skincare, and the combination of Holika Holika's accessible price point, its TikTok-friendly product formats, and its broad retail distribution make it a strong contender in a crowded beauty category.

The Problem
Holika Holika's Indonesian team made the decision to appoint a local TikTok creator as the brand ambassador (BA) for the Indonesian market. This is a well-established strategy in the K-beauty playbook: a globally recognized brand appoints a local face who connects with the domestic audience on cultural and platform-specific terms, creating a version of the brand that feels genuinely Indonesian rather than imported and adapted.
The creative challenge this creates is specific and not trivial. Adding a brand ambassador to packaging requires more than dropping a photo onto an existing design. The ambassador's image needs to integrate with the existing Holika Holika visual system cleanly and credibly. The brand's identity must remain legible and consistent across markets. And the final design has to be suitable for mass print production, where any shortcomings in the integration become impossible to miss at scale.
For a project like this, the stakes are real. Packaging that goes to mass production carries the brand everywhere the product is sold. A poorly executed BA integration can undermine both the ambassador's credibility and the brand's visual authority simultaneously.
The Approach
Arterie handled the design of the brand ambassador packaging integration for Holika Holika Indonesia, working within the existing ENPRANI brand identity system from the Korean parent.
The design approach kept the Holika Holika identity intact as the primary visual authority. The ambassador's image was integrated in a way that enhances rather than displaces the brand, positioning the BA as an extension of the product story rather than a replacement for the brand's existing visual language. Typography, color, and graphic elements from the established Holika Holika system were maintained and respected throughout.
The project ran through to mass production printing, which is where the real test of this kind of work happens. A design that looks right as a mockup but creates production problems at scale is not a solution. Arterie carried the project through the full production pipeline, ensuring the final printed packaging matched the design intent.

What Got Built
A brand ambassador packaging design for Holika Holika Indonesia, fully integrated with the existing ENPRANI brand system and executed through to mass production. The result is a market-specific packaging variant that gives the Indonesian team a local face on their product without disrupting the global brand identity that makes Holika Holika recognizable in the first place.
For Korean beauty or international skincare brands entering or expanding in Indonesia, this project shows what localized packaging design looks like when it is done with discipline, within brand guidelines, and carried all the way through production.
