Most holding companies stay invisible by design. They exist in the background, their name on incorporation documents while the consumer-facing brands take all the attention. PT Karya Maharendra Innovation fits that description on the surface. Ask someone on the street and they will not recognize the name. Show them Finally Found You and they will.

Finally Found You is the skincare brand that PT Karya Maharendra Innovation built from scratch. It launched in 2022, grew rapidly through Shopee and Tokopedia, claimed the number one spot in the local rice toner category, landed on Guardian shelves nationwide, and built a community of over 900K followers on TikTok and 369K on Instagram. The brand moves. The holding company behind it needed to match that energy, starting with an identity that did not exist yet.

The Problem

When Arterie came in, PT Karya Maharendra Innovation had no visual identity to speak of. No logo. No color system. No typography. No guidelines. For a holding company whose most visible asset was already a recognizable consumer brand with a distinct personality, this was a gap that needed closing.

The issue with building a holding company identity is that it sits one layer above the brands it owns. It needs to feel credible and structured without swallowing the character of the businesses under it. A corporate design that is too rigid makes the parent feel disconnected from brands built on personality and community. Too loose and it does not read as a holding company at all. The brief required finding the right register between the two.

There is also a longer-term question at play. A holding company identity is not just for today's brand portfolio. It needs to be a foundation that scales as the business grows, potentially into new categories, new brands, or new markets. Getting the identity right the first time is cheaper than rebuilding it when the next brand launches.

The Approach

Arterie delivered full branding for PT Karya Maharendra Innovation, covering everything from the ground up: logo design, color palette, typography selection, and a complete brand guideline document.

The logo had to carry two things at once. It needed to read as a proper holding company, the kind of identity that belongs on a deck, a legal document, or a partnership proposal, while staying in the same world as Finally Found You warmth and approachability. Corporate without being cold. Structured without feeling stiff.

The color tone and typography choices followed the same logic. The palette was built to work independently of any single sub-brand's visual language, so it functions whether the portfolio grows to three brands or ten. The typography selection prioritized legibility and versatility across both formal documents and digital applications.

The brand guideline pulled it all together into a document the team can actually use. For a growing company with a founder who is also a public-facing content creator, consistency across touchpoints matters. The guideline covers logo usage, color application, type hierarchy, and spacing rules, the basics that prevent a corporate identity from drifting once it leaves the design studio.

What Got Built

A holding company that previously existed only on paper now has a visual system it can put in front of investors, partners, and future collaborators. The identity works as a standalone and as a parent to Finally Found You without the two fighting for the same visual space.
